Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay champion. She competes currently with the UFC Flyweight division. Valentina Shevchenko who was a former UFC Flyweight titleholder, and UFC fellow fighter is her older sister. Antonina Shevchenko started her combat sport career as a Muay Thai kickboxer. She made her debut in the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko was the winner of the event and beat Suzane Miller at the end of the tournament by an unanimous decision. Antonina Shevchenko took home a second medal in 2007 with a bronze, a silver in 2008, a gold medal in 2011 and was crowned in the position of IFMA Amateur World Muay Thai Champion in 2016. Antonia started her professional career in 2003. She took home the World K-1 Championships of WKC Light Welterweight 2012, the Lightweight Lion Fight World Championships 2016 and both the WMC World Championships and the Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina's last fight was at the Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. The fight was won by a unanimous vote. Antonina shevchenko recorded her debut professional MMA fight in 2002, against Anara bayanova at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She won via second-round TKO after which she won 2 more fights at WXF X-Impact World Championships to get a 3-0 record. Shevchenko took a hiatus to focus on boxing. Shevchenko returned against Anissahaddaoui in Phoenix FC 3. Shevchenko was able to defeat Anissa with a unanimous verdict and defeated Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in 2017. She left the club and started Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina's formidable strike abilities allowed her to TKO Nievera via knees in the lower body. In the aftermath of this victory, Antonina was able to sign the chance to sign a UFC contract. Antonina received a UFC contract following her victory. Shevchenko took victory in a unanimous victory, however she was defeated in her next fight by Roxanne Modafferi in the split decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from the loss by defeating Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler by a rear-naked choke submission. The result earned her the prize of fight-of-the-night. Shevchenko has a record of 1-2 during her subsequent three matches she won over Ariane Lipski while losing to Katlyn Clarkagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina was defeated by Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO during UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
